Fund Raising For The Burial of Perpetua 'Wendie' Muthoni Muchemi

The organising committee of Perpetua "Wendie" Muchemi who tragically died in a road accident in Stratford East London is fundraising for the funeral in Kenya.

Wendi passed away recently and will be buried in Kenya. It would be fantastic if all her friends and all East Africans here came
together to help her family meet the cost of the funeral. I would like to invite everyone to support this initiative. Her parents need all the
help they can get , she was their only child.

If you feel you would like to contribute to these arrangements, the account details are listed below:

Abbey: Mr. S Njoroge, A/C No: 66698750, S/C: 090126

Barclays Bank: Miss. RW Mwangi, A/C No. 60366102, S/C: 206655

For more information please contact Mwangi on 07947781980 or the deceased's family on 02082408108. Let us join this family at their hour of need and give encouragement. Your prayers and support will be highly
appreciated. There will also be a memorial service soon and as soon as I know the details we sh
all get you posted.

Have Your Say On Why Local Media Matters

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/3/32/ITV_Calendar_%28December_2007%29.png/250px-ITV_Calendar_%28December_2007%29.pngYorkshire has a long tradition of quality regional
programming and local news coverage.
However, there is now serious concern as to
whether local newspapers, television and radio
can survive.

MPs from the Culture, Media and Sport
Committee want to hear why local media is
important to you.

Come and share your views at our public
meeting:

Wednesday 1 July 18:00 to 19:30
Park Inn Hotel, North Street, York, YO1 6JF
